GRAB ACADEMYWe are CHANGING the FUTURE behind US!
GRAB ACADEMY is designed to motivate our GRABBERS in a way that initiates their drive to try and perform on a different level. Although our platform is very structured, our operations is to have FUN while we LEARN. We operate on a REWARD base system, and that means that our kids can earn points on a daily. We have items with points attached to them and that allows our students to target their grind and cash out for what they want. Those items are clothing's, shoes, gift cards, school supplies, and much more. We participate 100% in our GARBBERS educational track and that requires in class participation. GRAB Staff will spend time in the classrooms and all activities our GRABBERS participate in. We have a data collecting system that will track the performance for each student. We will creates our reports, evaluate our data and collaborate with teachers, parents and school personnel to make sure our students stay on the right track. WE MEET OUR GRABBERS WHERE THEY ARE! We will enroll 50 kids between the 3rd and 8th grade. Our teen sector will have 10 high school students who will be guided to play major leadership roles in GRAB Academy. We will coach and guide them, along with providing resources for them to developed a plan once they complete high school. We have partnered with P.O.O.F which is owned and operated by Destiny Alexander. P.O.O.F (Prepare Our Own Future - Prepare Our Own Funeral) is a pathway program that digs deep in our teen future and starting a legacy for those that trail. The unique name has a meaning and platform that is a powerful piece to our youths future. |

COVID and the pandemic took a toll on many fields and careers. The schools went to virtue learning and the lack of focus and energy once we got back to normal...things became more complex.
The start of the 2022 school year our location changed from being inside the community to outside the community so that did not work because transportation became the barrier. We tried to find ways around it and it just did not work. During the summer and launching of our youth basketball league I met a passionate and dedicated guy by the name of Sebastian Waldron who linked us with Dr. Quincey Farmer who is the assistant principal at Forest View Elementary. Dr. Farmer and staff gave us space to get back to doing what we LOVE to do. YALL ROCK! |
